IH Hotels Milano Centrale

Staff at the check in was very helpful and friendly. We had booked a small room which had everything we needed. Hotel is right across Milano Central train station and a parking garage is nearby for 25€ day/night. Would recommend staying at this hotel, we even extended one more night :)

The location is 4-5 minutes walk from the Central Train Station. The room was clean and comfortable and wonderfully quiet!! A relaxed atmosphere badly needed by my jet lagged body.

This basically sits in the piazza of the central train station. So, we walked off the train and into our hotel without having to drag luggage across the city. The greeting area/desk is wonderful, but don't get too excited if you are like us and do the cheaper/economy rooms. The location for these rooms is down a door or two. We had two rooms, and both were great, but my room was FABULOUS. It feels newer than your typical European stay. I had a huge double bed kind of in a cubby by itself and our bathroom was huge, with a garden tub/rainfall shower combo-only stay we had traipsing across the country which had a tub (our other room did not). It was great! The hotel let us leave our luggage before check-in, then we had a really early excursion-so they let us leave our luggage till late in the evening. We did a Lake Como excursion, and the meeting point was directly across the train piazza. The best gelato we had abroad, was about a 3 block walk from the room.

Personal was great with us. We arrived before the check in time and asked if we can leave our luggage there and they immediately re-organized some rooms that we could check in in advance and even have the rooms on the same floor (even if it was not possible at the first sight) . Close to the main train station (just a few minutes walk), rooms and bathrooms are clean, modern, big enough for a couple, and with all you need (had different in the same area and till now it was really the best). Breakfast was a surprise (not typical Italian but a continental), with lots of options for different tastes at a good quality. Loved it!!!

I like the huge variety of the breakfast. You could find salty and sweet things, even 3 types of milk. The room was for a single traveller big enough. The bed was comfortable and the shower amazing. The location is perfect you can find easily everything in the surrounding and there is a very good connection to means of transportation.
